Krav-Maga
Krav Maga (in Hebrew: Close combat), from Israeli origin, is the self-defence and fighting system used by the Israeli army, police and security services.
It is simple, direct, effective.
His approach is logical, practical and modern. It is suitable for all practitioners regardless of their style or level and allows for fast progression.
The Krav-Maga consists of two main parts:
• The self-defense that is the framing, and which brings together various techniques to defend against a wide variety of attacks, armed or not, and to come quickly to the end of one or more assailants;
• close combat that constitutes a more advanced phase of Krav Maga, and includes the psychological dimension of combat (managing combat and stress, environmental analysis, multi-tasking, weapons…).
Krav-Maga’s Founder and Renowed
It was created by Imi LICHTENFELD (1910 – 1998) qui developed it, during his multi- disciplinary athlete, as a close combat instructor first in the army then in civilian society.
This training method has received the approval of security professionals and police around the world.

Legitimate defence:
“Art. 122-5.There is no legal responsibility for whomever, after an unjustified attack on himself or a third party, accomplishes, at the same time, an act required by the use for the legitimate defence of himself or a third party, unless there is a disproportion between the means of defence used and the seriousness of the attack”. “There is no legal responsibility for whomever, in order to interrupt the execution of a crime or a misdemeanour against a person, accomplishes an act of defence, other than a voluntary homicide, when this act is strictly necessary for the goals sought, as long as the means of defence used are proportionate to the seriousness of the attack”.
“Art. 122-6. Legitimate defence can be considered to cover whomever accomplishes an act : 1° to fight away, during the night, an act of forced entry, violence or cunning in an inhabited area ; 2° to protect himself against perpetrators of robbery or looting undertaken with violence.”
State of urgency:
“Art 122-7. There is no legal responsibility for whomever, faced with an immediate or imminent danger towards himself, a third party or an possession, accomplishes an act to save the person of the possession, unless there is a disproportion between the means of defence used and the seriousness of the attack”.
Lack of assistance to persons in danger:
“Whomever is able to prevent by immediate action, without putting himself or a third party in danger, a crime or a misdemeanour against the physical integrity of a person, and voluntarily abstains from doing so, is liable to a five year prison sentence and a fine of 75000 euros.
The same punishment will be used for whomever voluntarily abstains from assisting, without putting himself or a third party in danger, a person in danger either personally or by calling the appropriate help.”

Stopping a perpetrator caught in the act:
“Art. 73. In the case of an obvious crime or misdemeanour taking place, anybody is apt to apprehend the perpetrator and escort him to the nearest criminal police officer.”
